Open Letter To The Honorable Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Kofi Annan
 
I quote from your web site (the Secretary-General's Home Page) at http://www.un.org/News/ossg/sg/index.shtml :

Secretary-General Condemns Suicide Attack; UN To Prepare Report (8 May) -- The Secretary-General yesterday evening said he was appalled by the suicide bomb attack that took place earlier that day in the town of Rishon Letzion in Israel in which at least 16 people were killed and many others wounded. Meanwhile, in response to a request from the General Assembly for the Secretary-General to "present a report, drawing upon the available resources and information, on the recent events that took place in Jenin and in other Palestinian cities," the Secretariat will review available information and prepare a report, while requesting information from Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Before I ask my questions, let me be perfectly clear:

-I am not a Jew
-I am not married to a Jew
-I am Greek
-I am the primary shareholder of U.S. Read, Inc., and currently have no Jewish investors (although I hope I will have Jewish and Palestinian investors someday)
-U.S. Read has not been privately financed by Jews
-I am clearly a Gentile and U.S. Read can be considered a Gentile corporation.

That said ... these are my questions:

The General Assembly desires an investigation into the events that transpired during Operation Defensive Shield, when Israel took steps to pre-empt the endless flow of homicide bombers, the latter attacks, perpetrated during peaceful, solemn, holiday celebrations.
 
Why is there no call from the Secretary-General or the General Assembly for an Investigation into ...

Question 1: the latest homicide bombing of Israelis civilians in a billiard hall in the town of Rishon Letzion (south of Tel Aviv)?

Question 2: the seemingly endless, and horrific string of homicide attacks upon innocent Israeli civilians?
 
There is mounting and damning evidence that these attacks are fostered and funded by very organized, very visible groups within Palestinian territories, and equally visible and vocal terrorist organizations from without, and by governments such as Iran, where the ship, Karine A, loaded with weapons, was headed for Palestinian territories. As you know, the Israeli defense forces have continued to uncover evidence directly linking Arafat and the PLA to terrorist activities.

Question 3: Why has there been no investigation into Iran's role in the Karine A?

Question 4: Do you generally consider terrorism a "war crime" worthy of the Investigative efforts of the U.N., especially when it appears there are organized entities encouraging and organizing these attacks?

Question 5: How do you explain the inconsistency in the U.N. actions? Specifically, only "condemning" terrorism fostered by the PLA and other groups and countries upon CIVILIANS, but calling for direct U.N. investigations of strategic military campaigns against terrorists by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). The Palestinian terrorists chose to hide out in homes in Jenin and booby-trap them, as well as booby-trapping ... corpses! They left the IDF with no choice.

Question 6: Do you understand that the credibility, and objectivity, of the General Assembly is exposed to serious harm (and scorn) in the face of such inconsistency?

I appreciate a response to these questions and would also appreciate a direct interview. I'd be happy to stop by your office.
