A bright fella by the screen name of MUDMAN, assembled some of the rudder pictures the Coast Guard released to me into a whole image. Thanks to Arthur Doucette for making me aware of this. Two questions quickly arise from this knowledge of the rudder condition: what led to the breakup of the rudder into three large pieces and when did it break away from the vertical stabilizer since they were recovered separately (600 feet distance)?
