Do I Want Obama To Fail?
I am an American.
I generally believe in Republican principles of Government more than I do Democratic principles.
I am not happy about socialized medicine. Or higher taxes for anyone. Or aborted fetuses that are born alive and refused care because, after all, they are just tissue. It is not life.
But do I want Obama to fail, as Rush Limbaugh does, especially in regards to the economy and our wars?
If I want him to fail it would mean I want Iraq to descend into hell again because Obama withdrew troops too quickly. It would mean I want Afghanistan to continue to fall into the hands of the Taliban. It would mean I want many more Americans to die.
If I want him to fail it would mean I want more Americans to lose their jobs, homes, apartments, savings, retirement accounts, etc., and for our country, and world, to descend into depression and chaos and perhaps … more world conflict.
How could I possibly want these things to happen?
Yes, yes, I know, it seemed like the entire Democratic party, and by extension, the entire media industry, was rooting for Bush’s failure which in turn meant they were wishing for the failure of our country. We watched this … and were absolutely dumbfounded by the selfish hatred of the Left.
Are we to return the favor now? Or will we prove ourselves to be true patriots? True thinkers? Or do we only care about perpetuating the cycle of violence between Left and Right? Many, care more about the latter. Not I.
So, if I were in Congress I’d say, “Mr. President, I believe you run the risk of catastrophic failure with your social programs and massive, unbelievable debt. I will oppose your tax increases on any American. I will oppose these excesses as I believe they are setting up our country for a horrific collapse. But if your budget passes, I will root for your and our success even if that proves my Republican principles are flawed. The success of our nation is far more important than the defeat of the Democratic party and its principles of big government.” This would be patriotism.
Any Republican who agrees with Rush Limbaugh on this is a flawed thinker at best, and a traitor at worst.

Rick Santelli Setting the Record Straight
Trillions of dollars of debt are being created without a commensurate amount of debate by all involved. And the idea that future generations unable to voice an opinion or vote may be saddled with mountains of debt through no fault of their own, is an issue too large to shirk from.
Full post by Mr. Santelli is here.

Iraqi Women Vie for Votes and Power
Thanks to the work by Democrats over the last few years especially their effort to withdraw U.S. forces even before the “Surge” Thanks to the perseverance by President Bush, the brilliance of General David Petraeus, and the tremendous successes and sacrifices by U.S. troops, Iraqi women are beginning to assert themselves and exercise freedoms American women had to wait 150 years for.
I guess this is what Obama’s apologizing for? … “all too often America dictates”?

Is It A Wonderful or Dreadful Life?
On December 18th, 2008, Wendell Jamieson’s thoughts on the movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, were published in the New York Times, under the title, “Wonderful? Sorry, George, It’s a Pitiful, Dreadful Life”.
I confess a certain level of dismay and sadness when I consider that there are people out there who take away a completely opposite impression than that intended by Frank Capra. It is no crime to critique and challenge the moral of any story, but when one is delivered as thoughtfully, and insightfully, and artistically, as this myth, it is a notable reaction to call George Bailey’s life depressing and dreadful.
My first question to this alternate crowd would be: “then you agree with the depressed and despondent George Bailey on that bridge … that he was worth more dead than alive, and it might have been better if he had never been born, and that ending his pitiful, dreadful life was not an unreasonable remedy? Then you agree, that for all the George Baileys in the real world, Baileys whose lives have been even worse than the mythical Bailey, that for them suicide is also an appropriate response?
If you disagree with me (more…)

Pamela Key – “We Have No Media”
Meet Pam Key.
Pam is the one person who uncovered, and posted to her youtube account (NakedEmperorNews), several shocking audio and video clips that shed much needed light on Barack Obama, and Congressional Democrats, in the weeks leading up to the 2008 election.
I interviewed Pam today; here’s the mp3.
Pam is responsible for finding, editing, and posting all of this material:
- 2004 video, with almost 3 million views, showing Democrats fighting Republican attempts to reign in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
- Obama’s 2001 Radio interview where he discusses how to achieve Redistributive “Change” and complains the Founding Fathers weren’t radical enough
- 2005 video of the Fannie Mae CEO calling Democrats the “family” and “conscience” of Fannie Mae
- Obama’s 2008 interview about how to bankrupt the coal industry
- 2007 Video of Obama saying how ACORN would shape the Presidential agenda
- 2002 audio of Obama arguing against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act
- HUD Secretary, Andrew Cuomo in 1998, bragging about the Clinton Administration forcing banks to make subprime loans
- Audio tape of Bill Ayers in 2002 proudly discussing his Marxist views and his lack of regret for his terrorism, at a time Obama knew him very well
Pam is a mother, and childrens book illustrator, and did all this work from home. The fact no one in the major media uncovered any of the material she did, is an indictment against their professionalism and objectivity. Pamela summed it up well, “we have no media”.
Add to that, when Pam posted these videos on youtube, they got the most exposure on Fox News and right-leaning blogs only. Apparently, her findings didn’t play well with the narrative the media was selling about Obama and Democrats.
Pam deserves a round of applause.
